I am a student at Northern Illinois University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Applied Mathematics.
I work within the NIU Mars Rover Club mechanical team, working to design and fabricate the wheel assemblies and struts for our newest rover. I will be serving as Vice President next year.
I work as a Learning Assistant in two university physics classes, aiding students in their understanding of fundamental concepts of mechanics.
In addition to being a national member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, I co-led the effort to re-start NIU's student ASME chapter, and I was recently elected Chapter President.
I have also recently joined the Society of Women Engineers and have been developing a strong network of support.
When I'm not in class, studying, at a club meeting, or working on my personal projects, you will find me lifting weights at the campus rec center, leisurely advancing my high scores at the local arcade, crocheting, or participating in a competitive game of pool against my engineering peers.
